The CWS Emergency Response Committee
The Church World Service Emergency Response Committee includes representatives from more than 30 national denominations and church-related agencies who agree to work together for the greater benefit of disaster survivors to the glory of God.
The Committee includes (1) a small Executive Council comprised of members who belong to the National Council of Churches of Christ in the U.S.A. (NCCC) and (2) Domestic and International Round-Tables comprised of both NCCC members and others in religious community with disaster response program. The Executive Council sets the agenda for the full Committee and addresses policy concerns related to the CWS Emergency Response Program. The Round-Tables look at disaster response field issues related to CWS Emergency Response, in particular, and religious community cooperation, in general.
